Love Southsea Events

Portsmouth, as a city, is particularly proud of its ‘keeping the pound in Pompey’ mantra, supporting local shops and independent creatives as much as possible. There are few places where this civic pride is as clear as the monthly Love Southsea Markets in Palmerston Road!

A colorful spectrum of traders set up stalls at the monthly markets, from makers, artists, illustrators, and vintage clothes traders to jewellery makers, shabby chic sellers, and giftware stalls.

And, ideal for lunchtime, the Love Southsea Markets always offer an appetising selection of street food traders.

The markets take place in the Palmerston Road precinct at the heart of the Southsea Shopping district, on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, just minutes from the seaside, the common, and Southsea Castle.

The Palmerston Road market is completely free to enter and takes place amidst the high street giant likes of John Lewis and Debenhams, so even if you're out and about browsing the brick and mortar stores, you'll have the chance to check out some local independent traders, too!
