Film & CinemaLulu WhitmoreComment

Portsmouth’s very own radio station, Express FM, offer up an honest review of Christopher Nolan’s foray into wartime storytelling, Dunkirk, courtesy of movie critic Jon Brown!

Listen to Jon’s review and hear, without spoilers, his thoughts on one of the most hotly-anticipated blockbusters of the year, from the director who gave us the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, Memento, and more. Dunkirk is now in UK cinemas.

Nolan wrote, directed, and produced this harrowing true story of one of the most important moments in British history.

Stacking up a cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and Harry Styles, the stage is set for an intense re-telling of the origin of the term 'Dunkirk Spirit'.

It will be screening at No. 6 Cinema, Portsmouth’s only independent filmhouse, this September, as part of their relaunch season after a summer break. Book your tickets now »

It’s also screening at Vue Cinema in Gunwharf Quays.
