Back in 2011, when Love Southsea was first finding its feet, we saw lots of businesses, startups, creatives, and makers all around us struggling to turn their talents and ideas into a living as the onset of hard financial times hit home and brick-and-mortar stores weren't a viable option for many smaller traders. And so we started up the Love Southsea Market, beginning at The Square Tower in Old Portsmouth before working with Portsmouth City Council to move to the more central Palmerston Road high street and shopping precinct in 2013. Since then, we've enjoyed tremendous growth, and so have our traders, a large number of whom are now regulars who come along on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month! All the while, Love Southsea has grown as a brand, accumulating one of the biggest and most loyal followings in Portsmouth, reaching north of 150,000 people every week through social media. A strength which constantly benefits our market traders.
A FRIENDLY COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT
“We're a new company in Portsmouth We started trading in April this year (2015) and we're really delighted to be working with Love Southsea. We've participated in a whole bunch of events and markets run by Love Southsea and it's been a really positive experience every single time”

“I do markets because you get instant feedback and I think it's really good for me because I want a restaurant so it's really good to get instant feedback from the customer. The Love Southsea Markets are really good. There's a good flow of customers coming through, I've got a good loyal fanbase, and Southsea's a really up-and-coming place I really want to be a part of”
“We've got a good footfall of customers coming through and the stallholders here are all absolutely fantastic”
